Karina Poirier, M.A., Clinical Director

Karina Poirier received her master's degree in psychology from Northcentral University.  As a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology, her primary area of research is metacognition and executive function processes in children with autism. She is a certified cognitive trainer and therapist with over eight years of experience working with children and adolescents with autism specturm disorders, attention-hyperactivity disorders, and other learning disabilities. She has completed the course requirement and work experience in applied behavior analysis and is eligible to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam.

Melinda Camarena., M.A., Assistant Clinical Director
Melinda has worked for the past five years with children and adolescents with autism. She received her B.A. in psychology and social behavior from UCI, and attained a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Currently, she is working on becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has extensive training as a mediator for social-cognitive skills groups for children diagnosed with autism and other related disorders.
 

Sue Bright., M.A., MFT.
Sue is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. She has extensive experience working with developmentally disabled children and youth, and she specializes in strategies for supporting children with anxiety, emotional disturbance and behavioral disorders. She mediates social-cognitive skills training for our youth groups.
